The first edition of Drag Me Up – Queer Arts Festival took place on Wednesday, 31 March 2021, with exhibitions, debates, workshops and live performances at a number of different theatres in and around the city of Rome.
Conceived as an international network for the contemporary arts and LGBTIQ+ activism, a true showcase that represents all gender expressions, enhancing the performers’ features and personalities through costumes, make-up and hairstyles, in a combination of ironic comedy and socio-cultural activism.
DRAG ME UP is a moment of reflection on social issues related to inclusion, as well as an international festival of multidisciplinary QUEER Art.
